About Me
My background
I grew up in Kansas and have been drawing for as long as I could hold a crayon.
I went to school and majored in Commercial Art subsequently becoming an Art Director for an automotive magazine then later I became
Operations Manager for a wristwatch magazine.
I'm retired now, live in Florida and create commissioned pieces as well as art for my Zazzle store, Visages Gift Store.
I have a few pieces for sale plus I've put my originals on posters for more affordable art, so browse around. Take a look. You might find something you like.

My experience
Several years ago, I was asked to do a portrait of a dog that had recently passed. Comet was beloved by his parents, so it was heartbreaking to hear of his passing. But, I took the challenge despite never having had done such a project nor having worked with chalk pastel.
Well, it was a success and I've since been commissioned to produce a few more commissioned animal pieces.
My vision
I envision affordable art. I don't ask for hundreds or thousands of dollars for my originals despite spending a month or more making my art just right whether with a brush or pastel.
The same goes for Visages, my Zazzle store. Most of the time, I ask for the smallest commission (depending on the product) which is 5%. I never ask for more than 10% and that commission rate is VERY rare for me. I want people to have and enjoy affordable art.
